The Castaic Creek groundwater treatment project did more than support bridge construction in Southern California it earned recognition as the 2025 Groundwater Treatment Project of the Year from The Dewatering Institute. 🏆
The project presented significant challenges, including high-flow dewatering, strict NPDES requirements, limited space within an active creek channel, and continuous operation at nearly 1,000 gallons per minute. The team addressed each of these challenges with a custom-designed treatment system built for performance, reliability, and environmental protection.
The Griffin difference was evident in the details. The system was refined through multiple rounds of sampling, operated around the clock, and successfully treated more than 165 million gallons of water while keeping the project safely on schedule.
The achievement reflects the teamwork and expertise that made this a truly standout project.
