Investment in Equipment & Infrastructure

Millions of pounds have been invested in an unrivalled range of high-performance, specialist heavy plant, machinery, equipment, and vehicles over recent years.

Best-in-class for performance and power, the fleet includes HGVs and excavators through to a wide variety of pump and pipe specifications that are often unavailable at short notice elsewhere.

With over 50 staff, a large, owned vehicle fleet with drivers, and in-house engineering capability, Alba Dewatering is entirely self-sufficient — with an enviable track record in both project delivery and health and safety. The company is particularly well known for its pipeline work, especially over the past five years.

Equipment is replaced every three years, ensuring the fleet is always at the forefront of technology. Stock is carefully optimised, stored in order, and all plant, machinery, and vehicles are fully serviced and maintained by in-house engineers. The company owns HGVs that transport equipment directly to site, streamlining speed and operational efficiency.

New Premises

After a prolonged search for the right location, Alba Dewatering has secured and is nearing completion of new, centrally located premises in Burton upon Trent. Over £1 million has been invested in newly refurbished, state-of-the-art offices, a workshop, and a yard with storage in Derbyshire — all tailored precisely to the company’s operational needs, with easy access to the major motorway network and airports.

People at the Heart of the Business

Alba Dewatering has in-house H&S Managers look after all employees, offering support when it matters most. With an excellent H&S track record, the safety of our staff is paramount”, says Whitelam.

Supported by a team of hydrogeological, environmental, and geotechnical specialists, the company counts some of the very best professionals in the industry among its ranks.
