Ashghal – Public Works Authority (PWA) undertakes a beautification project in Corniche Area that includes the construction of 3 underpasses. One of the underpasses is the Al Dafna Underpass, an underpass which is just 40 meters away from the sea with a project area of 1,045 sq.m.
Hydroserv installed 10 no. of deep well pumps in 16 meters deep wells with 4 no. of standby sump pumps that will be energised in case of unforeseen situations encountered during the excavation process.
The developing of the Corniche will include:
- Cycling and jogging tracks
- Construction of 3 pedestrian tunnels: Al Dafna, Corniche & Al Bidda tunnels
- Construction of 3 plazas: Al Dafna, Corniche & Al Bidda Plazas
- Open exhibition spaces on the Corniche with several artworks
