Free Pumping Test Software – University of the Free State

This software was developed by Professor Gerrit van Tonder, Dr Modreck Gomo and Mr Fanie de Lange of the University of the Free State in South Africa. The functionality of the software was discussed during the TDI Webinar Series presented by GEOSS Kes Murray.

The software is referred to as the FC Programme (Flow Characteristic Programme), and methods include the following:

  • the Derivative Method;
  • the Barker Fractal method;
  • the Cooper-Jacob method.

One can also analyze step drawdown tests, slug tests, etc. The programme works in Excel 2010, click here to download the programme and start your pumping tests.
