Who are Thompson Pump and Manufacturing

Thompson Pump and Manufacturing is a family-owned company out of Port Orange, Florida in the United States, founded by inventor and businessman, George A. Thompson and his sons George and Bill.

Spanning a history of over 50 years, this manufacturer provides high-quality pumps and pumping equipment to the construction and dewatering industry. They are also known and respected for their engineering expertise for tough dewatering, bypass and emergency pumping applications.

To date, Thompson Pumps have served more than 30 distributors across the United States, Canada and Latin America. Additionally, their products meet the Contractors Pump Bureau certification requirements. With numerous product patents, Thompson Pumps are the registered trademark holders for Enviroprime System®, Silent Knight®, and Arctic Knight®.

Following independent testing and assessment of the company’s manufacturing capabilities and quality management systems, Thompson Pumps’ Port Orange manufacturing facility achieved the ISO 9001-2015 quality certification.

Thompson Pumps design and manufacture a variety of pumps, which include: 

  • Wet prime trash pumps;
  • Dry prime trash pumps with either compressor- or vacuum-assisted priming systems;
  • Diaphragm pumps;
  • Utility trash pumps;
  • Sound attenuated pumps; 
  • High pressure jet pumps;
  • Hydraulic power units with submersible pump ends; and
  • Rotary, vacuum and piston wellpoint pumps.

When it comes to complex wellpoint, bypass and multiple pump systems, Thompson Pumps are also proficient in providing engineering services as well as special applications consulting to their clients. In addition to their product offerings, Thompson Pump’s Pumpology® courses provide thorough training and education on pumps and dewatering.
