Free TDI Webinar Presentation: Traqua – Evaluation of groundwater flow velocities in an alluvial aquifer for the implementation of a ground freezing technique.
To enhance the standards and quality of the global dewatering sector and promote the exchange of knowledge among its members, TDI provides a range of complimentary webinar training sessions. These courses are created in collaboration with our affiliates, specifically designed for our members, supporters, and the broader dewatering community.
The presenter, Sofie de Volder Master of Science & Management – Co-founder of Traqua will discuss the following topic:
Evaluation of groundwater flow velocities in an alluvial aquifer for the implementation of a ground freezing technique. Analysis of heterogeneity in natural flow conditions using fluorescent dye tracing.
See below related document:

Sofie de Volder trained as a biologist with a specialisation in management. In 2020, she co-founded TRAQUA as a business developer. Since 2020, through her involvement in TRAQUA, she has been developing field experience in the implementation of hydrogeological investigation methods. She has taken part in more than a dozen hydrogeological surveys with field missions in Belgium. Her activities mainly involve setting up and maintaining field monitoring networks (STREAM® probes, piezometric probes, pumps) and hydrogeology-related field measurements (piezometric levels, pumping flows, gauging).
As TRAQUA’s business developer, Sofie de Volder has specific knowledge of STREAM® monitoring instruments, their use in the field and their suitability for monitoring tracer tests. In addition, she has solid experience in setting up research and industrial projects, in project management (administration, customer contact and follow-up) and in communication related to Traqua’s activities (professional networks, website).
TRAQUA – We track water • We solve water flow questions before they cause problems 💧 • STREAM® fluorometer rental.
The presentation will take place Wednesday the 26th of March 2025, at 4 – 5pm SAST.
Registrations will close at 12pm (SAST) on the 26th of March 2025, so please be sure to register before this time. Feel free to make use of this time zone converter to not miss out on the webinar.
