Free TDI Webinar – GEOSS South Africa Pty Ltd Groundwater and Earth Sciences.
Part 1 – Borehole Hydraulics (Well efficiency and clogging)
Well efficiency and performance is an important technical aspect to consider during the design, construction and operational phase of groundwater abstraction and injection boreholes. There are a number of physical (borehole design and construction) and chemical (iron biofouling) factors that can influence the efficiency of a borehole which can have severe long-term practical and financial implications. This webinar is the first of a two part series that will focus on well efficiency and clogging. Part 1 will mainly deal with borehole hydraulics and include case studies to illustrate the practical implications of well efficiency.
Part 2 – Hydrogeochemistry will be presented on the same platform in November 2022.
This session will be presented by Corné Engelbrecht Business Development Leader | Senior Hydrogeologist at GEOSS South Africa Pty Ltd.
Corné is a full-time hydrogeologist at GEOSS South Africa with over eight years’ experience in the groundwater consulting industry and a demonstrated history of working in the municipal, private, and environmental services sectors. Main focuses include groundwater supply and development (exploration, borehole drilling, and aquifer testing management), groundwater quality assessments (including groundwater contamination and remediation assessments), and groundwater resource management with strong project management and technical report writing skills. He is currently completing a Master’s degree in Hydrogeology at the Institute for Groundwater Studies (IGS), University of the Free State, South Africa.
The training session will take place Wednesday the 29th of June 2022, at 4pm – 5:30pm GMT+2.
Registrations will close at 12am (GMT+2) on the 29th of June 2022, so please be sure to register before this time. Feel free to make use of this time zone converter to not miss out on the webinar.
