Erik Blumhagen is a Licensed Hydrogeologist with over 19 years specializing in dewatering, currently serving as the Dewatering Project Manager for the Northwest District of Malcolm Drilling Company Inc. (MDCI).  Erik has successfully managed many dewatering projects including public and private, large and small. Prior to joining the MDCI team in 2018, Erik served for over 13 years consulting for Shannon & Wilson, Inc., where he focused on construction dewatering including the design and evaluation of temporary and permanent dewatering systems supporting construction of deep tunnel access shafts, pipelines, clarifiers, and deep excavations for subgrade construction. Erik’s expertise includes analytical and numerical groundwater models such as MODFLOW and SEEP/W to evaluate the number, spacing, and depth of dewatering system components.

Abhishek Vyas has a master’s degree from UCLA and is currently serving as a Dewatering Project Manager for the Southern California District of Malcolm Drilling Company Inc. (MDCI). Abhishek has six years of extensive experience in dewatering, having worked on a diverse array of projects across California and internationally. His background encompasses a variety of dewatering techniques, including, Deep Wells, Vacuum Wellpoints, Recharge Wells, and Eductor Wells. Abhishek has experience in estimating and managing both design build and design bid build. Abhishek’s experience includes earth retention systems both permanent and temporary. This broad range of expertise has equipped him with the skills necessary to address complex groundwater management challenges in different geological conditions and regulatory environments.
